RSHairdressing produces well-rounded hair stylists and nail technicians through the Pivot Point® International Hairdressing/Nail Certificate Program. We are the hairdressing school Maple Ridge prefers. With practical and academic training, RSHairdressing helps you to reach your maximum potential. We teach in a family-style, individualized setting in which you are nurtured. Our small classrooms have an outstanding teacher to student ratio. As a Pivot Point Member School, we offer Pivot Point’s world-famous interactive DVD modular teaching tool. For more than 40 years, Pivot Point's educational program has been tested, refined, and proven in approximately 3000 colleges and graduate centres in over 60 countries in 11 different languages. We offer our students computer salon software training, a must for the new stylist. All of our instructors have up-to-date training and continue to attend upgrading on a yearly basis by attending seminars and international hair shows.

Individualized Teaching

The small class sizes at RSHairdressing allow us to adapt to each student’s individual learning style. Some students learn better in the classroom, while others learn better out on the floor. We adjust our teaching style to fit your individual needs. Our students graduate with professional skills, confidence, and the ability to acquire work immediately following graduation.

Locally owned in Maple Ridge, yet providing international hair/nail training, we have an approximately 1:6 teacher to student ratio, compared to other larger schools in Vancouver, which can have a 1:20 teacher to student ratio. Our smaller ratio means that you receive the individualized attention you deserve.

RSHairdressing has a full service salon on site that takes actual clients so that you are exposed to clientele immediately, starting with Unit 1 of the certificate program. This hands-on training helps you work on your customer service skills, as well as build your practical experience. All clients, men and women, are welcome and receive salon services at a discounted rate.
